The Sustainable Healthcare Spotlight (SHS) is an Agents of Change project aimed at engaging high school students with real-world health-care issues and the importance of sustainability in healthcare. It seeks to address the concerns of sustainability in the next generation to create healthcare systems that prioritize environmental sustainability, equitable access, and improved health outcomes for all.

Our Mission
The mission of the SHS is to empower and inspire grade 11 and 12 students by fostering a deep understanding of contemporary healthcare challenges. Through meaningful engagement and critical thinking, we aim to cultivate a generation of future leaders who actively contribute innovative solutions to enhance healthcare sustainability for a better and more equitable future.
Vision
Our vision at the SHS is to enable the future generation of healthcare professionals to think critically and engage with the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare. Through collaboration and friendly competition, we see these students as catalysts for positive change, driving innovation and advocating for sustainability in healthcare.

Canadian and World Studies
“As well as becoming critically thoughtful and informed citizens who value an inclusive society, students will have the skills they need to solve problems and communicate ideas and decisions about significant developments, events, and issues.”
